The Ultimate Keratin Care Guide
If you’ve stumbled upon this post and are wondering what a Keratin treatment is, let’s break it down! Keratin is the natural protein that makes up the structure of your hair. A Keratin Treatment is a semi permanent smoothing service performed by trained professionals to help eliminate frizz, add shine, and make your hair more manageable.
We offer a variety of Keratin treatments designed to fit different hair types and needs, whether you’re looking for sleek straight strands or soft frizz free waves.
But here’s the secret many people don’t know: gorgeous, long lasting results start before your appointment with proper prep, and continue after with the right post treatment care.
Ready to finally say goodbye to frizz and hello to silky smooth hair? Book your Keratin treatment today — your future self (and your hair) will thank you!

Before the treatment
While it’s not required to color your hair before a Keratin treatment, if you’re someone who loves keeping your color fresh, we recommend doing it at least one week before your treatment.
We don’t suggest coloring your hair after a Keratin service. Post-treatment coloring can make it harder for color to penetrate the hair and may begin to break down the Keratin that was just applied.
By coloring beforehand, you’ll actually get a bonus benefit — the Keratin helps seal in your color, making it look richer, shinier, and more vibrant for longer.

After the treatment
To keep your hair looking silky, smooth, and frizz-free, give it some extra love after your Keratin treatment. Avoid washing your hair for the first three days at all costs — this gives the treatment time to fully settle. Take a short break from the gym for about two weeks to prevent sweat, which forces extra washes and can interfere with the Keratin on your scalp. Swap out that cotton pillowcase for a silk or satin pillowcase — cotton absorbs moisture and leaves hair frizzy and dry, while silk keeps your strands smooth and shiny.

Hair Wash
When you do wash your hair, use gentle, sulfate-free shampoos and avoid sodium chloride, which can strip moisture and break down the Keratin. Wash with lukewarm water, then finish with a cool rinse to “shock” your hair cuticles closed, preventing frizz and tangles.
